DJ Nu-Mark
ignited his career as a member of the legendary Hip-Hop group Jurassic 5 while simultaneously releasing Kanye West’s debut production on Correct Records circa 1996.
Solo acclaim occurred for Nu with the drop of his celebrated Blend Crafters EP featuring his timeless cover of John Lennon’s Imagine and production for a feature by MF Doom. Nu-Mark has also judged numerous DJ competitions including Red Bull Music Thre3style with Jazzy Jeff, DJ Craze and Skratch Bastid.
Nu-Mark’s record label, Hot Plate Records has released multiple production collaborations. The DJ’s crates always saved room for his Run For Cover LPs in 2021 & 2026 featuring Full Crate, Bacao Rhythm & Steel Band, Jungle Fire, The Traffic, Tom Scott and more. Some of his original artist collaborations include; Aloe Blacc, DJ Shadow, Charles Bradley, Quantic, Del The Funky Homosapien, Diamond D, Murs and Slimkid3 (Pharcyde).
Many people know Nu-Mark from his children’s musical DJ Toy Set or his Zodiac Tracks social media series where he pays homage to pivotal artists by mixing them in their respective astrological sign. After millions of views, Nu teamed up with Wu-Tang Clan’s Method Man on an exclusive song called Zodiac Killah. Nu is a natural selector known for his clever transitions. He’s an event worth witnessing!
DJ Nu-Mark and FabFilter
I’ve used multiple Fabfilter plugins on my last two Run For Cover albums. In Pro-Q4 I’m thrilled to utilize both the dynamic and spectral dynamic features, giving me natural sounding control over my instrument busses. The Instance List has saved me so much time and has opened my mind to double checking conflicting frequencies amongst multiple instances of Fabfilter in my projects. They’re all in my “favorite’s” category!
