Dave Pensado

Dave Pensado is a man who requires minimal introduction. He’s a world class, Grammy Award-winning mix engineer who’s worked on countless hit records. With mix credits including Michael Jackson, Kelly Clarkson, Beyonce, Elton John, Christina Aguilera and Jill Scott, Dave is acknowledged as one of the leading online educators for all things audio.

His career began in Atlanta in the 1970s and 1980s doing live and studio sound engineering. He has lived in Los Angeles since 1990. He mixes between 200 and 250 songs a year at Larrabee Studios in Los Angeles. When recording, he usually records at Echo Bar Studios in North Hollywood.

In 2011, he started a weekly show called Pensado's Place with Herb Trawick. The show is about engineering techniques and interviews and hosts a guest Mixer, Producer or Artist each episode. In its 5th year, with over 210 episodes, seen in over 150 countries, monthly viewers between 550,000 and 700,000 people, double digit audience growth, Pensado’s Place will continue to bring together the premier audio community on the planet.
