Chocolate Puma

Chocolate Puma are the Dutch producers Zki & Dobre. Responsible for so many productions in all kinds of styles under so many different names that they are difficult to categorize. One thing is obvious though and that is that their productions have been round the dancefloors ever since the nineties. Examples written and produced by Zki & Dobre are the classics: Give It Up (1992) released under their alterego The Good Men, Vallee de L'armes (1993) released under their alterego Rene et Gaston, and Shake It, Movin' thru your system, Rave Against The Machine under the name Jark Prongo. Chocolate Puma with: I Wanna Be U (2001), Always and Forever (2006) and Another Day (2007).

Chocolate Puma and FabFilter

"FabFilter Pro-C has become our compressor-limiter of choice. For years we used our trusted Drawmer compressor to smack our drums, but now we can depend on the Pro-C to make the beats bang."

"Same goes for processing vocals. Pro-C can smooth out a vocal part without messing up the transients or creating harsh side effects. So out goes our focusrite :-) And then the mighty FabFilter Volcano filter plug-in. We barely touched our MS20 since we've installed this plug-in. It can scream like a pig or be as smooth as silk."

"When we need basslines? Then we grab FabFilter Twin. Easy to program, very musical, useable, and dare we to say, analog results. Excellent stuff!"
