I'm using Pro C 3 for speech, podcast and some music production.
On speech I'm using the "Up Front" preset with some minor adjustments.
When enabled, this defaults to having Auto Gain on.
But I also noticed the manual states
"Note that the auto-gain algorithm doesn't actually measure loudness to determine which gain to apply. It just makes an educated guess, so you might want still to tweak the output gain in some situations."
Am I better off just leaving the Auto Gain off? It seems convenient, but don't want there to be artifacts, pumping ...etc.
