(Topic) SHOW US that "Zero Latency" isn't, if you use spectral bands

If you're on Zero Latency mode and enable Spectral on a band, you get several thousand samples of latency—5120 (106.7 ms) for me (not sure if this varies). The UI should reflect that. There should be SOME indication that "Zero Latency" is *not* the current state of the plugin... Make "Zero Latency" red, or call it something else when there's a spectral band enabled, or something....

I agree with Tokyo. I'd like to be able to filter the harmonics generated within the instance, or to have the EQ bands themselves generate harmonics.

I've been eyeing the upgrade from Pro-Q3, which is of course my go-to EQ. As much as I like the new features in Q4, one of my biggest annoyances when testing out the Q4 is that a single click anywhere will create a new band. This is highly annoying as it leads to many accidental band creations. More annoyingly, single clicking the EQ line doesn't behave the same, it doesn't do anything, which I'm ok with, but if anything, it should be the other way around.

Hi Ralph! When is planed an updated version with well documented issues such as Dynamic processing one, the delay in automation following and so on. Also Q4 is still causing inconsistent delays when using Spectral option when doing Dynamic processing. All well documented and discussed on the forum. The version we all use now is from February 2025. That's 10 months without any bug fixes. All the best, j

Hi Ernestas, Could it be that you downloaded Pro-Q 4 and are trying to authorize that with your Pro-Q 3 license key? I'm afraid that will not work. You can find the Pro-Q 3 installer here: www.fabfilter.com/support/downloads

Hi Paolo, I believe I just replied to your email as well. Spectral mode is a linear phase issue. Any spectral processing, even on just the side signal, should not cause any phase issues. Can you describe your experience a bit more detailed?

I believe there is an audible phase problem when a spectral band is applied ONLY to the "sides", but the EQ is in “natural phase” mode.
