Volcano problem
Hi everyone... I have bought Fabfilter One a couple of months ago and now I would like to try Volcano before upgrading with the special offer! I install the package and I am not able to see and choose it within Garageband. Everything seems to work fine during setup but when I launch GB I can only see "Fabfilter One", other AU plug-ins and no Volcano. Is there a know issue with it? thank you

... hi Andy,
I have not heard your problem before. Have you installed the AU version of the plug? Can you check whether the actual Audio Unit component file is present in ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/ ?
Best,
Yes, I installed the AU version and I have both Fabfilter One and Volcano under that directory but I only can see FF One in GB. If I try to start Audio Hijack Pro, which uses AU plug-ins, I can see and open Fabfilter Volcano! here is a screenshot: xoomer.virgilio.it/plelatunde/shot.jpg thank you
Hi Andy,
I don't have access to GarageBand right now but I can remember that it takes a few steps to make GB 'see' a new plugin. In the info window for a track, you should take one of the two insert slots (where you can add effects like Reverb). It should be possible to select FabFilter Volcano there.
Yes, now I see. It works! :-) However it would be cool If I could be able to choose FF Volcano from the first generator drop down menu, like I am used to do with FF One... so I could have a slot more to use to combine a reverb with an echo, for example ;-) thank you for help
I'm afraid that is a limitation of GarageBand...
