I have a client who worries that I am compressing too much when he sees the Gain reduction meter working hard. I explained to him the concept of parallel compression and that he needs to look at the DRY/GAIN knobs to see if the amount of gain reduction is actually what he is hearing. So I am wondering if there could be a view setting (similar to the "show input level meter"- under the Help menu) that would show: Input Level/Dry Output/Compression Output/Compression Amount and Overall output. I know that is a lot, but since he is mixing with his eyes, it might help him sleep better at night.
