Pro-Q4 not rescaling or resizing correctly with Logic

Pro-Q4 is not rescaling or resizing correctly.
Logic 11.2.2
OS 14.4
M3 Silicon MacBook Pro
Laptop plus two desktop monitors
Pro-Q4 is not showing all of the screen, only up to 10k and missing the top and bottom of the GUI.
The resizing and rescaling button is not visible as the screen does not show the far right of the GUI.
No issue using Pro-Q4 up until a couple of days ago. ]
Thanks!

Could you try entering the code below in the Terminal app? Please don't forget to include the "" at the end:

defaults write com.fabfilter.Pro-Q.4 ScalingAdjustments ""

Please let me know if this resolves your issue.

I've got the same problem, the terminal input did not work

Here the same problem, but with Pro-MB.
Deleting preference files didn't help. Terminal option neither.
It makes 2 preference files.
One only with a ScalingAdjustments set to nothing.
The second with all the preferences for the plugin, including another scaling setting set to nothing.
I'm on MacOS 26 with Logic Pro 11.2.2

Frans

I don't know what just happend and what was changed, other than restarting my laptop, it suddenly corrected the height, than it showed the scaling option again and made me correcting everything.

Hello!

I'm experiencing the same issue and quite bummed. It started with my pro q3 so i bought the new pro q4 thinking it was a software issue for I am running MAC Tahoe 26.1

Now this plugin is unusable. Its defaulted to its largest size with no option of rescaling. Please help I am an the middle of several professional projects with deadlines and im dead in the water..

--nothing suggested above has helped

Hi Joseph,

Can you try (with no DAW running) to rename your com.fabfilter.Pro-Q.4.plist file in your ~/Library/Preferences folder. Then immediately restart your Mac. This should reset your preferences and hopefully resolve the problem.

Cheers,

Hello, I have the same issue since yesterday. I've tried to do all the things suggested; terminal not working, uninstall-reinstall not working, preferences plist file with fabfilter name does not exist.

Asli

Same problem I can't used now fab filter Q4 with Mac OS Tahoe and Logic Pro 11.2.2 and MacBook Pro Q4. Nothing with terminal and deleted preference. Can you help me please.

Would it be possible to help us on this issue? It's been stuck for a while and none of the solutions are seem to be working.

Asli

Hi Asli and Frederic,

We'd like to get to the bottom of this problem since we have never been able to reproduce it ourselves. Can you please email us at info@fabfilter.com with the following information:

- Description of your system setup and monitor resolutions and DPI (retina yes/no)
- Please attach your preferences file. In Finder, click Go > Folder and type ~/Library. Locate com.fabfilter.Pro-Q.4.plist and attach it to your email.
- Screen shot of the plugin within Logic

Thanks!

There is a bug in Logic that is introduced in macOS 26. For some reason the area just above the plug-in name in the bottom of the plug-in wrapper in Logic is a non-clickable area. So any parameters in the center bottom of the interface are really hard to click. This happens in more of our plug-ins as well, but it also happens with other plug-ins. For example you can't click the scroll bar just above the plug-in name in Melodyne.

It seems that for some reason Logic made this area non-clickable. We've reported this to apple already. Fortunately there seems to be a very small area just at the top of the bottom bar that still registers clicks. If you click at the very top of the plug-in name that normally gets you to the instance list it should still access the instance list. It's just a very, very small area that you can click.
