Pro-Q Feature Request - Hide the yellow curve!

Can fabfilter please add a switch that simply hides the yellow gain curve?

The purpose I have in mind is to encourage the user rely on their ear and to avoid making any judgements based on how the curve looks.

Because of this, I currently find myself going to other EQ plugins that are analogue-style. But, they aren't as user friendly with a mouse/trackpad like the Pro-Q is. When I use them, I miss being able to quickly sweep around the spectrum controlling gain and frequency at the same time (and obviously all the other great features Pro-Q has).

It's such a simple feature but would absolutely be a game changer for me!

Hi Osian,

We heavily discussed this when we were working on Pro-Q 4. We would have loved to make an "ears only" mode on the EQ. But the fact is that the visual workflow is so embedded that it would be impossible to create a similar workflow while reducing any crucial parts of the visual interface.

First of all lots of people use the yellow line to create bands. Besides that, removing the yellow line would still show you the visuals of all the individual filters, so it would still not remove any visual triggers because something looks off.

The best we can offer is to disable the analyzer so you will EQ to what you hear instead of to what you see. But in terms of the result curve (yellow curve) I'm afraid that's really at the core of the plug-in interface, so we can't simply remove that.
