Pro Q and C2 in Logic Pro mixer window

The built-in EQs and compressors in Logic Pro shows up automatically in the Mixer window, for each channel, in the EQ overview and Gain reduction meters respectively. I notice that Fabfilter plugins show EQ curve and gain reduction in the Pro Tools mixer, but not in Logic Pro.

IMO having EQ and GR in the mixer window makes the mixing experience a lot more like working on a physical device. Having to open each and every plugin to check on settings and meters feels like being blindfolded in comparison.

So why arent Fabfilter plugins showing in Logic Pro mixer window?

Erik

Hi Erik,

As far as I know the gain reduction and EQ windows in Logic only work with their stock plug-ins and not with third party plug-in. In Pro Tools it works for every plug-in that has incorporated the metering in their plug-in code.

OK thanks.
