Saturn 3 feature requests

I am using Saturn as my main distortion unit everyday and several times during sales I have been tempted to upgrade to Saturn 2, but it doesn't really offer anything that I need and that Saturn 1 doesn't have so I think I will skip it and wait for Saturn 3 to do the upgrade. It has been about 5 years since the release of Saturn 2, so I got the feeling that Saturn 3 can't be too far away and I want to share my feature wishes/hopes, before it may be too late.

I use a lot of heavy distortion for sounddesign and the Heavy Saturation algorithm is great for that, but at high drive amounts the level goes way down and requires using the output gain to boost it. Also some hiss is added to the sound (that is not present in the actual sound). It seems that the output gain knob adds even more distortion and also brings up the hiss.

I hope that Saturn 3 will allow to turn off AGC and make it possible for the drive knob to crank sounds into 0dBFS and use the (hopefully transparent) output knob to turn the sound down to the desired level.

It would also be nice if Saturn 3 included clipping algorithms, from various soft clipping curves up to a hard clipper. I think that would make Saturn 3 cover all grounds when it comes to common distortion types. If the interface allows for it, a waveshaper graph that displays the active clipping presets and can be manually tweaked would be the cherry on top.

Lastly, I don't remember if Saturn 2 allows assymetric distortion. But if it doesn't, that would also be a great option to have in Saturn 3.

I hope that my feature requests make and that maybe I will see some of the in Saturn 3.

Other users, feel free to add your own input, ideas and feature requests here. Maybe some cool things come up that can inspire Fabfilter.

Yup, would love to see in Saturn 3 a manual mode where you can draw in any saturation waveshape you want (that opens into much larger window for drawing it)

But in addition to that, have separate controls for even and odd order harmonics, which could affect both the existing saturation types and the manual waveshape mode as well (kinda similar to how U-He Zebras oscillators have inbuilt fx that further alter the waveform shape)

Making them per-band of course not global :)
