PRO-Q 4 FEATURE REQUEST: MIDI NOTE FOLLOW

It would be great if there was a setting on a Pro-Q 4 EQ band that enabled MIDI note following. This would allow one to drive EQ frequency by MIDI note, enabling eg. note-following HPF for monophonic audio.

As a bonus it could have an additional parameter allowing the band's frequency to be offset from the incoming MIDI data by either a number of semitones (+ or -) or a fixed frequency offset. This would allow eg. the attenuation of higher-frequency resonances whose frequency is harmonically-related to the root pitch of the sound. Further bonus controls could include tracking speed, which would be useful in mitigating discontinuities caused by instantaneous changes in a band's frequency.

I don't think it would be necessary for Pro-Q 4 to derive the pitch of its audio input, as there are many tools available for this purpose which can create a MIDI file of an audio performance, eg. Melodyne, Autotune, etc.

I would personally find this very useful in many mix situations. What do you think?

Addendum - It would be important for my personal use-case that this functionality would work in all EQ modes including linear phase modes up to High.
