Copy/paste plug in settings from Q3 - Q4 update doesn't work
I got email for Q3 3.27 update and Q4 update and it said I could copy and paste settings from 3 to 4. This is what I've been waiting for but IT DOESN'T WORK.
Anyone else get it to work?

exactly the same for me, with ProTools 2024.10.2....
Are you using the Paste command in the preset browser? Or right-click on the presets button in Pro-Q 4?
I just realized that when right-clicking in the display, the menu here will only enable the Paste command when there are curves on the clipboard, but not for an entire plugin preset such as when copying from Pro-Q 3. We'll address this in the next update!

It works perfectly.
My mistake: using AAX plug-ins, I right-click on the wrong presets button (at the very top of the window!), not the good one in the ProQ menu bar!...
So, I got a reply from Fab Filter and figured out how to do this. Their language wasn’t quite clear.
1. Open up the Q3 instance that you want to copy to send to your new and improved Q4.
2. Right click on the Preset Button (it might read Default Setting still) and then “copy”
NOTE: Do not use the “preset or factory default area above to copy, use the button that shows the FF presets!
3. Right click on the same preset button in your Q4 instance and voilà, paste your Q3 customizations into the Q4
4. Now you have the Q4 spectral and other settings updates available.

Hi good afternoon I just purchased the fabfilter pro bundle and I did every steps to install but after done I don’t see any where to paste the license info to
K, I have at least 40 different Pro Q3 settings. Do I need to copy paste them one by one? Can't a nice Fabfilter engineer code a little app for that?
The Copy/paste doesn't work btw. I copy from Pro Q3 and the paste is not available in Pro Q4.

I'm afraid it's not that simple. We're in contact with plug-in format developers to see if we can automate this process, but so far we have not been able to do so.
Please note that you need to right click on Pro-Q 3's internal preset browser to copy the preset, and right click again on Pro-Q 4's internal preset browser to paste them. Right clicking anywhere else in the user interface does not work.

I use to be able to Dbl-Clk on a 'knob', and PASTE [Cntrl-V] a value that was in Windows clipboard.
Use to work in q3 ... not working in Q-4.
Can this be fixed ?

I just tested this but it still works in Pro-Q 4. You can still double click to enter a value manually, or paste it when it's in the clipboard.
