Saturn 2 frequency band question

Here's what I have

I run a sound through it Saturn. I'm using FM8 with no presents, which give me a tone showing the fundamental @269hz, with 2 harmonics to the right. I put in a frequency band, and move the band to the right if the fundamental, but to the left of the harmonic. I increase the level on the harmonic band, but when I do that, there is significant volume added to the fundamental. I have the crossover slopes set at 48bd/oct.

This can't be right can it?

What am I missing?

Pete

Hmmmm,

And conversely, if I turn off the volume for the fundamental band, it turns off all bands

Update

I'm finding a similar scenario when I use ANY parametric eq, and put a brick-wall limit to cut the fundamental. Once the fundamental is cut, there is no sound.

Hi Pete,

can you send us a small video of the issue to info@fabfilter.com?
