Pro-Q4 auto-shape detection issue

There is some change between the shape detection of Pro Q3 and Pro Q4 which I don't understand if it is a bug, a bad idea that managed to not be properly peer-reviewed or else.

On Pro Q3, you can click anywhere at the ends of the frequency spectrum and drag up or down to create a Shelf shape, and double-click to create a Cut shape, but on Pro Q4 it imperative that you click at either around 20KHz or 15Hz to generate a Shelf shape.
Although some may argue it made no-sense to have a shelf below 15Hz or above 20KHz, this made it easier to create the shape as you didn't have to pay attention that you clicked on 15KHz, 25KHz or 29KHz (and similarly for low end) as you simply had to drag the point up or down, left or right to adjust where it made more sense... in short a faster workflow.

With the current change it adds extra thinking and steps which I don't find necessary, it removes spontaneity and consequently slows down the workflow.

Hi DDOne,

We have indeed updated the way bands are created with Pro-Q 4. Some new features might take a bit of getting used to, but eventually it should feel more streamlined.

Hi Ralph,

Lot of people also got used Soundtoys plugins crashing every few minutes, but that doesn't make it ideal.
Why not reverting it to how it used to work?
- Double-click to create a cut shape
- Click and drag to create a shelf

It does not require changing any of the new features, it just a click/double-click matter at specific frequencies.
I don't think having to think attentively of where you are positioning a mouse pointer as opposed to knowing that "beyond this range it is possible" is any form of workflow improvement, rather an extra complexity as opposed to keeping one in the flow.

Can this, please, be passed to the devs or project manager for review?
