Tidying up Cubase Plugin view

(see screenshot:)

As you can see, I've put my VST2 plugins in folders organized by manufacturer. For some reason, Cubase's own plugins don't react to that (maybe because they are VST3?), which annoyed me for some time. Now, after installing the Fabfilter plugins I see the same thing happening - my VST2 plugins are neatly organized, but the VST3 version of Pro-C shows up in the "Dynamics" folder instead of the Fabfilter folder.

Workarounds, anyone?

Bas

I don't think there are any workarounds... Cubase just sorts VST 3 plug-ins according to the category that they report to the host.

A VST 2 plug-in can also report a category but Cubase doesn't pay attention to that, oddly enough.

Cheers,

Thanks for the reply.

In the features of Cubase 5 i saw an added option to sort your VST3 plugins - so I was afraid it wouldnt be possible with Cubase 4. Strange that VST does react to subfolders and VST3 doesnt... well, I'll just have to wait for Cubase 5 then :)
