Q3 and Q4 Spectrum Analyser display different
Did anyone else notice a discrepancy between Q3 and Q4 spectrum frequency curve displayed?
If I put a Q3 and a Q4 on the same track, both plugins set completely flat (default), the frequency curve display in Q4 is different to Q3 . The Q4 display shows a lot more bass content in the recording. Incidentally, Pro-MB displays the same as Q4 with significantly more bass than the Q3.
I was wondering why that might be - can't figure it out.

You'll need to change the spectrum tilt to whatever you have set in Pro-Q 3 (likely 3dB/oct or 4.5dB/oct).
It's in the "Analyser" options at the bottom middle-right part of the plugin. Once changed in one instance, new instances of Pro-Q 4 will update with the same global setting.
Yes, it's not set to the default from Q3. You must change it to the 4.5 db tilt. The help-text shown when hovering over the spectrum setting claims that 4.5 db is the default, but it's not set that way.
Maybe that's something FabFilter should check.

Good catch! We currently have the 0 dB/oct setting set in the Default Setting preset and we'll fix that.
Cheers,
Great. Anither thing: When I installed q4 the resolution was set to 120. I think 90 is according to the manual the default.
