Pro Q4 SLOPE not mapping to Eucon Correctly

Attempting to map a custom knob set from Pro Q4 on an S6, turns out that the parameter labeled SLOPE is always showing up as SHAPE (which is totally different, obviously).

If you try the dual SHAPE / SLOPE parameter, then you end up with SHAPE and GAIN - which is also useless when the band in question is a high or low pass filter.

Please check and advise.

Hi Jonathan,

We'll investigate, thanks for the report!

Hi Jonathan,

So you happen to use a custom mapping that might overlap with the mapping that comes with the plug-in?

Floris (FabFilter)

Hi Floris,

The EQ mapping that comes with the plugin works fine. However I create custom mappings myself in order to have control over the dynamic range. This is done by mapping the plugin as an INSERT rather than using as an EQ. I have a perfect mapping from Pro-Q3 and it was in attempting to recreate this in Pro-Q4 that I ran into this issue.

Resurrecting this topic as I’m currently unable to use Pro-Q4 with my S6 because I can’t create a custom knob map - which I really need to include dynamics etc.

Thanks

It seems like there's a mapping issue between Pro Q4 and Eucon, causing parameter confusion; hopefully, a software update or workaround can resolve this.

I've checked with Eddie at Avid and they are saying it's up to FabFilter to fix the mapping......

Guys please check this - it's a big deal. Thanks

Hi Jonathan,

can you drop us a quick email about this to info@fabfilter.com so we can check with the devs?
