Pro-Q4 Default Names in Instance List

Spotted a potential issue using FL Studio 2024 with Pro-Q4's Instance List - channel names do not seem to be picked up by Pro-Q4 and just display in the instance list as Pro-Q (1), Pro-Q (2), Pro-Q (3) etc. Having tried renaming channels and individual plugins, I was wondering if there was something I've missed, or is this feature not supported in FL Studio?

Windows, FL Studio 2024, VST version

Hi Tommy,

Are you using the VST2 version of Pro-Q 4? There is no support for track names and colors in VST2. If you use the VST3 version, it should work in FL Studio.

Thank you! I can't believe I missed that - much appreciated : )

How about CLAP? The naming doesn't work there either. Does the format not support it?

Track names and colors do work in CLAP in Bitwig, so I think FL Studio hasn't implemented that yet. Track order isn't yet in CLAP: we've submitted a spec change but I don't think any host has implemented that as of now. But I'm sure that will come in the near future.

Sorry I forgot to mention I'm using Reaper 7.xx. Instances are named correctly in the vst3 version, but not the clap version

ok nevermind, that seems to be a Reaper issue: forums.cockos.com/showthread.php?p=2830188

Thanks for posting, I just wanted to bring this up here: the Reaper devs are fast as hell. Almost shortly after I reported it there, they fixed it in a pre-release already, as it seems. Did not check it myself, though.

v7.29 of Reaper did fix the issue!
