FabFilter

It's very possible that I am just not figuring it out, but when I add a modulation source (like the slider for instance) and connect it to a control (like drive) nothing happens. The little dot appears below drive, but there is no modulation range indicated and moving the slider does nothing. Ive also tried loading presets that have modulation and using the modulators there still does nothing. What am I missing? Im on Mac OS 15.1.1 and have tried this in both logic and pro tools.
