Different plugin versions

I want to use Fabfilters Twin3 in Reaper, and when selecting a Software instrument i get presented with multiple options for Twin3.
The specific options i am given are "AUi", "VSTi", "VST3i" and "CLAPi".
Can someone explain to me what the differences are and which of them i would use in which scenario?

These are all different plug-in formats. They should all work and sound the same. AU is Apple's own format, and only works on Apple. VST is the older version of VST3, which is a widely used format on both Mac and PC. The developer of VST is discontinuing the older version and may only work with VST3 in the future. CLAP is a relatively new format for both Mac and PC, and currently works in Reaper, Bitwig and FL.

It does not matter which one you use, they all work and sound the same. But it might be easier to just use a single format, and maybe even deleting the other plug-in formats.
