All of the saturation types (besides the 'Subtle' options and the FX options) in Saturn 2 add a noise floor that follows an envelope follower (so at least it's only present when there is signal being processed). The noise can be particularly noticeable when processing a signal without much high frequency content and then amplifying it with another distortion stage or EQ or compression, etc.
I'm not sure the purpose of the noise, whether it be dithering or some sort of analog hiss (even though it still occurs in the Gentle/Heavy Saturation styles). Regardless, it seems to be an intentional feature and can be quiet noticeable and undesirable.
Is there a way to disable it? If not, then this might be a feature request. Besides this, I love Saturn 2! Thanks in advance.
