Different DB Meters on the right. Can someone explain each??

Hello yall!

frequent Pro Q 3 user with a question I cant seem to find an exact answer for anywhere.

So. There are two different DB readings on the right side of the interface. We have the one in yellow in which you can adjust the range from 3 to 30 I believe, the grey one which ranges from 0 to -100.

It is clear that the one on the right with the meter is the actual volume of the sound or track.

My question is: How does the yellow meter relate to the actual volume?

For example, 0 on the yellow line is clearly not 0 DB.

What does this zero represent? How does it relate to the actual volume level?

Thanks in advance!

Beau

Hi Beau,

The grey meter to the right is the scale for the output meter. The yellow scale is the scale for the analyzer. You will see that each number aligns with a horizontal line on the analyzer. The values change when you adjust the display range, or when that will be done automatically.
