Pro-C AU version and Side Chaining and other stuff
I use Pro-C in DP (just upgraded to DP6). Thinking I missed a upgrade or two of Pro-C, I just downloaded and installed v1.10. I'm curious: When I Get Info on the AU component file, it reads version 1.01. Why not 1.10 like VST reads?
Next question: I was trying to get Pro-C's ext side-chaining to work in DP6, which is now supposed to support SC for AU plugs. But I don't see (SC) as a menu choice for Pro-C. Why is that I wonder?
Also wondering about this:
DP uses a file called MAS AudioUnit Support.bundle. It's in Library > Audio > Plug-In > MAS. Pro-C will not pass audio through to its outputs when the new version (v1.5) of this file is used, but it will work when an older version (v1.3) is used. Other plug-ins have this problem, too. Probably MOTU's fault but I thought I'd mention it. I tried both versions of this file when trying to get ext side-chaining to work.
Oh, and FabFilter, I would appreciate customizable installs. I dislike installing files I don't need. Then I have to track them down and get rid of them. I'm a control freak, that's why I use Pro-C.
Thanks
Wow, how incredibly helpful you are fabfilter.
Hi Dan,
Sorry for not responding earlier. However, we have been working on the DP 6 problem you reported! Please send us an e-mail so I can give you the latest build of both Pro-C and Volcano that fixes this!
By the way, we have customizable installs on our whishlist. On windows, this is already possible, but on OS X it's a bit more difficult...
Cheers,
