volcano 1 to volcano 2 compatability

I'm a longtime user of volcano 1 (and all of the other fab-plug ins). I just bought the upgrade to volcano 2.
If I install volcano 2, will it affect the multitude of sessions that I am currently running using volcano 1? Will my settings transfer over, or will I still have access to volcano 1? I'm really excited to install V2 but I don't want to mess up my current projects.
