Sorry if this is obvious, but I want to make sure I'm using the most efficient method. I have a track in which tape hiss shares a band with a synth part, so I'd like to attenuate when the synth isn't playing. I'm experimenting successfully (I think!) with downward expansion, but any advice or examples would be gratefully received.
