Multichannel track in REAPER makes FabFilter mono
Dear FabFilter Team!
I'm working on an electroacoustic multichannel piece, which I am transforming from 8 discrete channels to 5th order ambisonics. As this needs tracks with a channel-size of 36, the plugins try to adapt as far as possible and go to 7.1.2 mode, however it suddenly makes the sound mono.
My problem is therefore not the support of 36 channels - but that I have a stereo file on the track and I expect e.g. Pro-Q to only affect ch. 1 & 2. However it doesn't work and also seems to ignore how I configure the I/O matrix...
Thanks for your help :)

The best approach I know is to make stereo or quad tracks and pan them in to an ambisonic bus using IEM's multiencoder or similar plugin. It will mean you'll probably have to make multiple instances to cover different positions/heights and definitely isn't the same as an actual ambisonic compatible plugin, but it's the best route I know as of now.
Hope that helps.
