Pro Q3 midi Learn in Protools 2020

Hello,

I'm trying to get Fab Filter proQ3 to midi learn in Protools 2020.12

I've followed the directions here :

I've tried on both an instrument track and an audio track as well as where I'd REALLY like it in audio suite.

I've used the Midi Device to control Kontakt no problem so I know it's not that part. I've read what I could find on this forum to no help I'm afraid.

I can say however after reading it, that the red light next to midi learn DOES NOT turn on when I wiggle a knob. Is there any other trouble shooting I can try to get this to work, would be a huge boon to me in my workflow.

Did you route the MIDI messages to Pro-Q as described under "Routing MIDI to effect plug-ins" here?
www.fabfilter.com/help/pro-q/using/midilearn

There's no reason why it shouldn't work in Pro Tools, but routing MIDI messages to an effect plug-in can be a bit of a challenge.
