Pro-Q 3 sidechain lower volume compared to source audio
If I have 2 identical audio tracks, I can see on the spectrum analyser that both instances are identical. This is obviously expected.
However, if I route the audio of one track to the sidechain of the other, the spectrum analyser shows the sidechain signal is about 3dB lower than the original audio.
Is this expected behaviour? It seems that any signal routed to sidechain loses volume.
Thanks

Hi Samuel,
This totally depends on your DAW. There are some DAW's that only have mono side-chain signals, so there stereo signals will be summed. This can result in a different level. Could you tell me what OS and DAW you're working on?
