MIDI Learn

Is there a way to make Pro-Q 3's MIDI learn functionality respond to note on messages, or does it respond to CC messages only? The buttons on my A&H SQ6 output Note On/Off only. The continuous controllers output CC messages and work fine.

Also, is it possible to make Pro-Q 3 respond to relative CC's instead of absolute. This way, the controller would pick up from a parameter's current value, instead of having to "catch" it.

Hi Gary,

Pro-Q 3's MIDI Learn feature doesn't listen to note on/off messages currently, but I've made a note to look into this -- we could use that for buttons to control next/prev/delete band.

If you use MIDI Learn in active band mode, the knobs will act in a relative way, and they will automatically go into fine-tune mode when you turn them slowly. Try it!
