What is the situation now, is a PRO-MB and PRO-L update coming this summer?

We are updating our plug-ins with small improvements and bug fixes all the time: the latest update was in December 2020. For Pro-MB and Pro-L 2, we are not planning any major new versions for the near future: they still feel fresh and up to date to us.

We typically take five years or more between major version updates: it is simply not necessary to do a major update more often.

Pro-MB is now 10 years old. Are there any plans for a major update in the next 1-2 years?

We're always working on new stuff, but we never really announce what we're working on until it's done. Is there something specific you're missing in Pro-MB?

Yes, I wish there would be an expert switch for attack and release settings in ms for stuff like sidechaining or to do ultra short attack and release settings on the bass to do some hard compression.

And one New York Kompression parameter to blend the unprocessed and processed signals together.

I am a fan of the Vengeance Multiband Compressor which features also New York kompression per band. This would also be interesting in the pro mb.

The last thing is surround support because I work as a dubbing mixer in 5.1 surround and sometimes wish I could do some compression with the Pro-MB on a surround bus.

Besides that it‘s still a very nice tool, that I use everyday at the moment.
