Pro-Q2 mouse wheel behavior and unwanted(?) double click case.

Hi,
I have some questions!
The first question:
When i grab the headphone icon of the band (or just band dot itself) and trying to adjust the slope by rotating mouse wheel slowly at the same time, often nothing happening, as if it not sensitive enough. In the first version of Pro-Q everything was working fine in such situations. Is there a way to somehow finetune this?
The second question:
There is disabled bands in my default pro-q2 preset. So, when i enabling one of them by alt+clicking and quickly trying to grab it, text entry appears. This behavior slows down workflow that i used to in the previous version of the plugin. Is there a way to somehow alter this behavior?
And the last question:
Can the solo listening level of the band be fixed as in the pro-q v1?
I didn't manage to find the answers in the manual or in the internet, so i decided to ask them here.
Thank you for your patience. )

Hi Ivan,

1. Are you working with LP/HP bands where the mouse wheel would adjust the slope, or with e.g. a Bell curve where it adjusts the Q value? What kind of mouse are you using and are you on Windows or Mac?

2. I can't reproduce this on Windows, maybe on Mac?

3. We got quite a lot of requests to lower the solo level in Pro-Q 2: it was too loud in some cases. So what you can do now, is drag the mouse up or down while soloing to adjust the level as needed.

Cheers,

Hi, Frederik.
1. I'm trying to find offending frequency and adjusting the q-factor of a Bell curve while soloing the band. I'm using two machines, with Windows 8 on one of them and Windows 10 on another. One of the mice is Logitech Cordless Desktop M-RCE95. Can't remember the model of another mouse.
2. Unfortunately, I can reproduce this effortlessly. )
3. I can understand from where those requests came from). The problem with the new method for me is that i'm often don't know - is the soloed frequency sounds to loud, or i made it to sound loud. I can adapt to the new method i think.
Thank you for your response.

I've made a short video to illustrate the issue. Sorry for the quality - didn't figure out better way to do it.

Hi Ivan,

I can easily reproduce the mouse wheel problem while soloing a band, so we'll look into that for a future Pro-Q 2 update. Outside of solo mode, the mouse wheel works perfectly for me though. Can you confirm that?

Hi Frederik,
I'm experiencing similar behavior when grabbing band's dot and trying to adjust q-factor at the same time, but sensitivity in that case noticeably better for me. When mouse cursor just hovers about the band's dot the mousweel works as expected.

Hej,
at first sorry for my bad english.
i have the same problem. after searching a frequenz the q factor goes automaticcaly down without do scrolling the mouse wheel. this bug happens with any kind of shape. after few minutes its really frustrating.

thanks

Bartek

i forgot to write that i use a imac with ableton. everything ist up to date.

Bartek

Hi Bartek,

That's a known bug in Ableton Live that somehow they just refuse to fix. We've reported it to them countless times, they confirmed it's a bug in Live, but they just don't do anything about it. I think it might help if you contact Ableton support and pressure them a little bit...

Cheers,
