I was on the hunt for a way to produce a super nice tube saturation amp sound for turning a clean guitar into a dirty fat guitar without sounding unnatural, basically trying to simulate my Mesa DC-5 ITB. I was hoping to avoid shelling out the hundred bucks for the WA Tube Saturation and with a little experimenting I finally figured it out.

The Smooth Amp algorithm was exactly what I was looking for as far as tone goes, but it just couldn't get dirty enough for me. The other amp simulations just sound cheap to me, but the smooth is just right. So, I stacked 2 Smooth Amps together and BINGO! Perfect sound.

One suggestion: being able double the amount of distortion in the smooth amp, but if not I can always just double up.
