Pro-Q2 and Pro-C2 price politic on iOS
Hi,
I make music exclusively on iOS and I use Auria to mix et master my tracks. The major reason I use Auria is because of the FabFilter plugins, and without it, I certainly wouldn't use Auria, because I don't have to record any instruments and midi is an absolute necessity for me, and until until 2 days ago, there was no midi in Auria.
Anyway, I upgraded to the pro version of Auria and I had the unpleasant surprise to see that I will have to pay the same price for the new versions of Pro-Q and Pro-C.
I bought these 6 months ago, and I'm very glad I did. But wouldn't it be fair for those who already bought these 2 plugins, to get a free upgrade, or at least a preferential price to get the new versions ?
Your products are excellent, and, unlike some other developers, you didn't judge iOS, as a new music environment, like a gadget and something meaningless, and thanks to you, we can benefit from the quality of your plugins like any other desktop DAW user.
But, regardless to the AppStore economic politic, your prices are among the highest. And I don't say it costs to much or that it isn't the right price, that's no my position.
I only think that when a new version of a product is launched, it's a common practice for the developer to make a discount for the customers who already bought the product.
So, just 6 months after I bought them, I will have to pay the same price to benefit from the new versions. I just wanted to say, without any resentment or anger, that I think that it is a little bit unfair.
I thank you for you attention and I hope you will continue to make such great tools.
True regards,
Cyril Clement
I'm in the exact same position. Bought all of the FF plugins under a year ago.
Wait! We're not happy with it either and WaveMachine Labs is about to release an update that provides upgrade pricing for Pro-Q 2 and Pro-C 2 in Auria Pro.
Cheers,
