I have noticed that Vst3 versions use more CPU power vs Vst2. Is this normal? Isn't is supposed to be the other way around with Vst3 being more CPU friendly

I want to know about this too!
VST3 can be more efficient, because the plugin can detect if it's operating on silence. For some plugins, this allows the plugin to bypass its processing.
Apart from that, CPU usage should really be the same.
