PingPong Delay with Timeless
Hi,
I'm trying to set up a simple 1/8th PingPong Delay in Timeless 2 but I just cant get it done properly.
So as far as I got it I set one delay line to half the desired timing (like 1/4th in my case) and set the offset of the other to 1,5x so it produces another delay inbetween the two 4th delays of delay line 1.Then I hard pan the lines left and right, and it shoukd work right?
However it does not sound like the simple 8th PingPong of my DAW. The timing is different, and there is a problem with the volume. I think this is because the first two delays have the same volume (the one from delay line 1 and the one from delay line 2), whereas the delays of a normal pingpong get subsequently lower in volume with each repetition.
Do you have any suggestions for me, or is it just not possible?
Cheers,

If you are aiming at 1/8th then ping and pong should add up to 1/8th. Say you want both to be equal times, then half the time should be 1/16th, right? 1/16th + 1/16th = 2/16th = 1/8th The pong offset is then the length of ping, i.e. 1/16th.
You can do asymmetric ping-pong, i.e. 1/32th and 3/32th (adds up to 4/32th = 1/8th), etc.
You feed signal to first line only, feedback first line into second line, and then feedback second line into first line. Tweak feedbacks to get desired number of repeats.
Can you clarify what you mean by "You feed signal to first line only# and "feedback first line into second line" and "then feedback second line into first line." --- how is this done?
To feed the signal into the "left" side only: place Timeless in a subgroup. Turn up the send from the channel you want echoed and pan the send all the way to the left.
When Timeless is used in a subgroup set the "dry/wet" knob to 100% wet.
To feedback the signal from the "left" channel to the "right" channel: turn up the "left" channel cross-feedback knob.
To feedback the signal from the "right" channel to the "left" channel: turn up the "right" channel cross-feedback knob.
