FabFilter User Forum
Plugin Settings Gone
Hello!
I have a new Mac Pro and I just installed my Fab Filter bundle. None of the fab filter plugins have the factory presets.
All other plugins on the system work as intended.
When I try to select Options>Restore Factory Presets -- it gives me an error stating "Please make sure that your current preset folder path is valid and that your preset folder is not read-only."
1. My preset folder is not set to read only.
2. None of the Fab Filter plugins appear in the plugin settings folder in the Documents>Pro Tools>Plugin Settings folder or the Library>Application Support>Digidesign>Plugin Settings folder.
HELP!!!!!!!

Hi Jered,
Our plugins don't use Pro Tools presets or the Pro Tools preset folder. We use our own preset folder, which by default is located here on a Mac:
~/Library/Audio/Presets/FabFilter/<plugin name>
where <plugin name> could be "FabFilter Pro-Q 2" for example.
Did you customize the preset folder? Can you check its location via Options > Change Preset Folder in our plugins, and reset it to the default if needed?
Then, Restore Factory Presets should work.
You can also download all factory presets as a ZIP file here:
www.fabfilter.com/support/downloads/factorypresets.zip
Cheers,
