Side chaining made easier in Ableton ?
Atm, in Live I have to set up three tracks for side chaining.
One as source, one with the sidechain plugin and one for the dry signal to master.
Did I miss something , if not is there any plans to make it quicker like the the native Ableton plugins.
i.e; I can select sidechain on Lives own compressor and chose input, but the input signal is not only directed to the sidechain, but also comes out at the master, if directed there in the first place.
With FabFilter, the source can only be directed to the sidechain, and not at the master at the same time, therefore you have to duplicate the source track in order to direct the dry signal at the master as well.

Hi Chris,
Unfortunately we don't control how Live works with VST/AU plugins. There might be a shortcut in Live to let it work as you prefer, but I'm not aware of that (not being a Live expert). Perhaps it's best to ask Ableton support or ask on their forums?
