Fabfilter Pro Q and FL studio 10

Hello there. I'm having trouble with Pro-Q and FL. Sometimes, when I put up some really narrow high bell curves and sweep through frequencies, the sound engine stops working, the whole thing freezes and if I haven't saved in a little while, the whole thing is lost. I'm using the 32 bit VST2 version, and have also experienced the same with VST3. What's going on? The funny thing is, that when I used earlier versions of the plugin (don't rember which version), I never had this problem...

We're not aware of any problems with FabFilter Pro-Q and FL Studio 10. I would definitely recommend to use the 32-bit plugin with FL Studio (not the 64-bit plugin), but it sounds like you're already doing this.

Do you get any kind of crash log?

Cheers,

Frederik (FabFilter)

Also having the same problem with the freezing after to many instances of pro-q. Have notified imageline. Waiting on a response...

Fl 11.02
FabFilter Pro-Q V1.21 32bit vst3

Chris

Updated to 1.22. Not having the problem anyone.

Chris

I lie. Its actually still doing it :/

Chris

I too share this problem in which Chris currently has, I am also using FL Studio 11.02
Purchased Pro-Q no less than 2 weeks ago.. It's an amazing plug-in don't get me wrong but when multiple instances are open it renders a project completely useless..
So this is what happens: Random Cpu spikes which causes the entire PC to lock up, But will unfreeze for a few brief moments ( Enough to give you time to close the Project )
Hopefully this can be of help.

Paul

Just to add to my previous post..
I'm attaching a YouTube video of the Problem

Noting that I've only had this problem since the purchase of FabFilter Pro-Q
Have been using FL Studio for the past 2 years and have never encountered this problem before..
If I remove a few instances, I do not have this problem.

Paul

Nevermind I have resolved this problem, Switched from vst2 to vst3 version and turned all analyzers off :) Hope this resolves everyone else who shares this problem.

Paul

We'll try to investigate the problem, but so far haven't been able to reproduce it ourselves...

Cheers,

I as well have similar problem, i have total bundle, and sometimes my whole pc just frozes , and then it just says that the plugins doesnt seem to work well, or that they cant be found even tho i have them installed [ double checked ] , but most of the problems are with pro-q , that's the most problematic for me.

Joe

+ Forgot to mention that i have FL studio, and one more thing, meanwhile i work on my tracks there's fl engine window popping up for me every time i put any of fabfilter plugins on my channel, it says shut down or let it go [ may corrupt file ].

Joe

Have you tried to disable graphics acceleration?
www.fabfilter.com/support/faq/18/how-can-i-disable-graphics-acceleration-on-my-computer

This is not specific to FLStudio, but on some computers, our use of OpenGL hardware acceleration doesn't work well with the graphics card drivers.

I'm using FL Studio 11 and i had the same frozen bug until i disabled graphics acceleration, it works fine now, Thank you Frederik !!

deef

Thaaaaaank you so much! Bloody graphics acceleration.
I've been using pro q and pro c during one year and when i opened a certain amount of pro c and pro q the project went useless. So i had to turn off all the fx and turn on only the fx from the synths i was mixing. First leads, then bass... I'm so happy now!
