Fabfilter on iPad (Auria)

hey there,

i thought it's time to open a thread here instead of throwing everything related into the Auria forum.First of all thanks a lot for bringing all your stuff to the ipad,i (and many others) am very happy about it (i already own half a dozen) but there are some design flaws and bugs i would like to post here.Looks a bit like a loveless port, even the help boxes in the plugins have still the PC description.

some bugs i found:

and some experiences with the GUI:

especially the thing with enter accurate values is driving me mad.Sorry but did you test it on a touchscreen?Try to grab/touch the outer ring of a knob (mostly pan)with your finger ;-) Would be easy to solve though:make it like the real plugins,a double click opens a small field where you can type wthe value(instead of resetting the function). This would help a LOT and there's no need to change the GUI for this solution.

The Fabfilter IAP's are quite cheap compared to their PC counterparts but still expensive for iAP's (and you can use them only in auria while you can use the others "everywhere"on a PC)so i hope you would support them a bit as well.

But thanks again to bring this amazing plugins to the ipad anyway!!

Of course we're supporting our plug-ins for Auria! Rim forwarded us the bug list but unfortunately we haven't been able to reproduce any of them so far... You're correct that the help hints haven't been updated for the Auria versions, that's still on our to-do list but we wanted to release the plug-ins as soon as possible.

To fine tune, hold down another finger while you drag. Double-tapping resets a knob. Editing a value by typing is something we want to add in a future update.

We actually put quite some work in making the plug-ins work well with touch, and we're of course always looking for possible improvements. Hope this helps!

hey Frederick, thanks a lot for the quick reply.Sorry if i sounded a bit harsh though. The two-finger trick seems to work well, thats great and definetely all i need for now!

One more question:its not possible to sync your creative plugs to the host tempo, right?Or did i miss something?

Such a shame,it halves the modulation possibilities but i understand it's Auria related and not a Fabfilter problem.

cheers

Syncing should be possible, but I think Auria doesn't implement it correctly at the moment. I'll verify this with WaveMachine Labs!

Good news - we implemented tempo sync in Auria v1.07, which will be submitted to Apple soon.
