Pro-L bug?

Each instance of Pro-L I add has like +10dB gain by default, no matter what the interface shows. Then when I touch the gain fader it jumps to the correct (shown) value. Is there any way to get rid of this "feature"?

This should definitely not occur. Which host and OS are you using? Is it possible you saved a default preset in your host somehow?

Win7 64bit, cubase 6 (32bit), pro-l 1.05 (32bit).

I haven't saved preset (I'm not using presets), unless something saved it for me. In wavelab 6 it behaves the same.

Hm... I'll try to resave the default preset and get back to you.

Resaving the default preset did the trick. I'm sorry I haven't tried it before asking here. Thanks for your response.
