Space button stealing
Hi
Can you guys make all your plugin NOT to steal space button in FL Studio. If i use FL own "don't allow keyboard shortcuts" option, it will also disable mousewheel support.
What is the joy of like Pro-Q without mousewheel? None.
Please fix your plugins and I'll promise you to buy your plugins. Thank you!

Uhm.. Nice support guys. Maybe I just buy stuff from dmg. Dave is answering always.
Your lost...
not to be a troll.. but this sounds like a FL bug, not a FF one.
I've used most fabfilter plugs in both Live 8.2 and Logic 9 and never had either steal the spacebar focus. granted these DAWs don't use wrappers like FL does, but if they work in most DAWs and not FL.. then you are most likely barking up the wrong forum.
maybe you could map a key or control to your transport (assuming that's what you're mainly using it for)
i wrote a second reply but it didn't seem to post, so to sum it up..
*just a disclaimer*
i don't work for fabfilter and i don't code plugs. I was just stating what seemed to me to be a possible issue to note, or a possible cause.
and a ps. that this is a public user forum, if you need actual tech support or something to discuss with the Fabs themselves, use an email (the support tab has contact info).
Hi guys,
Key handling can be quite different in various hosts actually. For ff plug-ins it works perfectly in most hosts at the moment. We'll test it in FL and see what we can do about this! If it's not a problem on our side, we'll contact the FL devs.
Thanks for reporting this issue! Cheers
The problem is that fabfilter plugins will steal space button, aka stop/play button.
So, when fabfilter plugin is focused / active, space doesn't work. You need to click some fl native part to get it working again = workflow killer
FL has own feature to disable this, but unfortunately, it will kill mousewheel support too. Just image using like pro-q without mousewheel = shit.
It need to be fixed via plugin, or FL own "disable feature". There is many request in FL forums to IL to fix this, but they just keep ignoring it. That's why turn on your side. It shouldn't be hard to fix / do.
Second request is switch for linear / circular option. Looks like to me that FF plugins behaving very different way than others. Thank you
Hey Floris,
you may contact the Reaper guys too :)
I get the same issue in Reaper 3.76(x64) on Win7(x64) with all fabfilter plugins (x64)
I didn't have this problem on my old machine with 32-bit stuff on WinXP
Cheers,

The problem is that the plugin window needs to have the keyboard focus in order for the mouse wheel to work on Windows. The host owns the master event loop so it has every chance to intercept keyboard events for shortcuts, which is exactly what Cubase does for example. We'll investigate the problem more thoroughly though, because we don't need keyboard messages except when a knob is double-clicked.
Regarding the difference between vertical and circular dragging, see this help topic:

Cheers,
Since we received a support inquiry about this topic, let me add that we fixed this problem quite a while ago in our November 2011 update.
Cheers,
