Pro-Q FFT using much CPU?

Hi,

just a little quick question about FFT CPU Usage: In Logic I always have to manually close the analyser because even if the plugin interface is closed, it is constantly analysing and therefore using alarge amount of cpu when there are more than 6 EQ running simultaneously "in the background".

How about Pro-Q. Does it also constantly "analyse" the signal when the plugin interface is closed and if yes - is there a lot of CPU demand for this analysing feature ?

Cheers, lokotus

Hups - I forgot to post my PS:

In other words: do I always have to turn off the analyser manually before closing the plugins interface in order to save cpu usage or does Pro Q turn it automatically off by itself when its interface is closed ?

Hi Lokotus,

FabFilter Pro-Q analyzes the signal in its interface, so the FFT process doesn't register on the audio CPU meter. In addition, if you close the interface, the FFT process stops of course, so no unnecessary CPU cycles will be consumed.

thanks, thats all I wanted to know. Great EQ by the way ! ...
