Pro-Q settings

Hi

Im on a learning curve with music production and just purchased Pro-Q.

I was wondering if anyone has some useful settings or resource links for EQ. I know EQ is experience and what you want from a sound using your own ears, however it would be great to get some good examples as starting points and experiment. It's a great EQ and have read nothing but good reports and tbh 99.9% positive comments. A few more settings and starting points would be a great help as Pro-q seems to be extremely flexible.

Thanks

Hi Rec,

First of all, if you haven't done so already, you can check out the Pro-Q manual (www.fabfilter.com/help/pro-q ). It contains some great tips and tricks and will help you work efficiently with Pro-Q. Also: in the near future, we will create some Pro-Q tutorial videos :-) Just to give you an idea, check out our video section at www.fabfilter.com/video

Cheers,

Floris (FabFilter)

Thanks for the links overlooked the videos and to be honest very informative. Been looking and tossing between Izotopes Alloy and Pro-C...what can I say Pro-C won and had to buy Pro-Q with it. No regrets, already owning the Fabfilter bundle (Timeless2/Volcano2/Synth2) you guys made it cheaper and to easy to get the plastic out. As they say to love is to hate and to hate is to love.
HATING FABFILTER ;)

Some comments on the Pro-C advanced settings. I did get a little lost in the video when the narrator started talking about the stereo and the mono/side settings. Couldn't quite get my head around it or what scenarios it would be utilised, maybe help my scrambled brain on this.

As for Pro-Q after reading a lot of forums in partiicularly KVR and Gearslutz it was a no brainer, fantastic job. Been using Sonalksis eq for a while but must say yours have the edge.

Please don't bring any new plugins out for at least another 12 months...cause I won't be able to afford the divorce :•/.
