Bounce effects?
So I am using Sonar and I have been working on a track. Just "instruments
tracks", I have added Volcano2 and Timeless2 in the FX Bin.
They work fine. As of now, I have used Presets without changing them.
If I save the song and come back to the track on the next day, upon opening volcano2/timeless2 it says in the preset window "default setting".
Shouldn't it read whatever Presets name was selected by me the other day?
Do I need to bounce clips to audio to save seetings from volc./timeless?

Hi Cyph,
You should find that although the preset name reads 'Default Setting' upon re-opening the song, the sound of the preset (i.e. all parameter settings) have been restored.
Our VST plugins actually store the name of the current preset via the host, but apparently Sonar doesn't implement this. (It works correctly in Cubase, for example.)

that is good to know, but not really cool. Everything else about Fabfilter products is great, so maybe you got plans to change this?
I bought lots of plugins and only the Fabfilter products are doing this to me.

It looks like a bug in Sonar to me. We do handle presets differently than most other plug-ins, but Sonar should still save and restore the preset name.
