Volcano feature request (from Sherman Filterbank.)
Why not setup the filters in harmonic series of your own choice? Simply insert 4 filters. Set the first one to 1000hz, then the second to whatever harmonic series you need.. for instance 3000hz (3rd harmonic), then the third one 6000hz etc.. then finally link all the filters (for mouse dragging) or route a midi controller to each cutoff. The filters will always stay in the exact harmonic balance.
Finally, for manual offset simply route separate midi controller maps to each filter for an offset.
Cheers!

Long time Volcano user, here. Thanks guys for replacing all my outboard filtering equipment with Volcano.
I'd like to request a feature from the Sherman, though: harmonic linking of the filters.
On the Sherman you can slave the second filter's frequency to the first and then select what relative harmonic you'd like to have as an offset.
I can't relate how useful this was in getting really great sounds from the Sherman -- without it I would have found the filtering far weaker than with it.
This kind of frequency slaving functionality would also, in my use of the plugin trump the current filter linking. The reason for that being that it would be possible to alter the offset via external controller in a smooth and controlled way (ie on the filterbank you could click through the offsets in realtime.)
I know that these requests are a pain, maybe, but this would be fantastic and I don't think that I can write a widget in Max that will get it done (or else I would have...) I need the functionality to be in the plugin.
Cheers.
