Midi learn global bypass

Hi,

I'm trying to get a midi controller to learn the 'global bypass' parameter in pro q4. I want to do this on an instrument channel so I can toggle via a midi controller the plugin.

I can't get the learning to work but see the midi controller input via the DAWs midi monitor.

What am I doing wrong?

Is there a particular midi data I need the controller to send for this parameter?

Hi Sam,

What DAW are you using? Did you check the steps provided in the manual to route any MIDI to our plug-ins depending on the host?

Hi Ralph,

Logic Pro.

I did follow the steps but some additional context. Ideally I'd liked to chain together e.g. pro-c into pro-q.

Then whichever plugin I open I can midi control the global bypass BUT using only one midi routed track per instrument.

Perhaps this is possible and I've missed how to do it but I believe I have to create a track:
- Per plugin
- Per instrument

The DAW would become messy very quickly

Hi Sam,

Yes, that would indeed get a bit cumbersome to setup. Maybe not the answer you're looking for, but a dedicated controller like e.g. the SSL might be a solution?

Hi Ralph,

Exactly as I was thinking but I use some custom electronics to send whatever midi data to the DAW.

Thanks Ralph.
