Can't make more than 1 low/high pass by double-clicking in Pro-Q 4

In Pro-Q 3, you used to be able to create EQ nodes depending on where you clicked. On the far left/right, you can double click to ALWAYS create a low/high pass.

That is not the case anymore in Pro-Q 4. If you already have a low pass, you can't create another low pass by double-clicking; you must create a shelf, then manually change its type to a low pass.

I really dislike this change. There's many cases where I want to gave multiple high passes, e.g. one high pass for the side channel and another for all channels. In Pro-Q 4 the consistency is gone, sometimes you double-click and get a shelf, and sometimes you get a low/high pass.

I sincerely request the ability to ALWAYS create a low/high pass when double-clicking on the far left/right of the UI. I've currently reverted back to Pro-Q 3 simply because of how annoying it is to create low/high passes now.

Hi James,

We have indeed updated the way you can create new bands. When you don't have any bands yet, you will see a preview of the band that will be created when you hover over the yellow line. Double clicking will create that band. You can also hover over the analyzer area below the yellow line, and this will preview the type of band you can create with just a single click. This will also start EQ sketch if you start dragging.

When you already have a high pass created and want to add another one, you can hover your cursor at the lower part of the analyzer below the 0 line. You will see a dashed line that will preview the shape curve, bells and shelves just below the 0 line and a high pass filter a little bit lower.

Thanks for the reply!

I'm aware that you can create a high pass by double-clicking on the bottom of the analyser. However, the panel that pops up for existing bands would frequently block that area. Here's a simple example:

I can't really double-click on the bottom left, since that EQ panel is blocking the way!
