Fabfilter L 2 has delay in Logic Pro
Pro-L 2 does introduce latency. However, your DAW should automatically compensate for this. Could you give us more information about how you are using Pro-L 2?
The best way to illustrate this is to send us a small video that illustrates the issue. Please send it to info@fabfilter.com
Thanks in advance!
I’ve been having significant latency issues with Pro-L2 to, in Logic Pro 10.4.8. Even if the plugin is disabled, it is adding about 90 ms of latency whenever I record (i.e., when I play MIDI notes right on the quarter note, the recorded note times are then delayed by about 90 ms in the clip afterwards). I’ve found that replacing Pro-L2 with one of a couple of other limiter plugins I own (I don’t suppose I should list them here) reduces this latency by as much as 90%. I’ve looked for settings in Pro-L2 that might improve its latency performance, but haven’t found anything, so I think I won’t be using it anymore, at least not in my recording template.
It's not intended for live performance. Insert it when you're ready to mix, or enable low latency mode in Logic when recording.
I am running 11.1.2 of Logic Pro and Sequoia 15.3.1 on a Mac mini with 16 GB ram and M2 Pro chip. When I use the L 2 limiter there is a delay, I can't use the plugin anymore. I am running latest version 2.24.
