Pro MB in Adobe Audition: the render is not 1:1 with the preview

Hi. Just wanted to ask if this is a known issue or not... And if so, on which end is the problem: the plug-in or the host?

Very simple set-up of compressing a music bed under a voice over track. The Pro MB plug-in is set on the music track, side-chained to the voice track. Everything works fine, I like what I hear in Audition, everything is perfectly set, no pumping, subtle dips, love it. Export.

The rendered output is a lot more aggressive on the ducking, we hear the pumping and this is not the mix I was hearing a few seconds ago.

I've toyed with the Phase modes, the Attack (from 10 to 50%), the ratio, the knee, the threshold, the range... I must have done a dozen permutations and tests. No joy. My music track is already clip-based pre-leveled, I'm just setting things up to have a more precise 4-5 dB loss when the VO kicks-in. In Audition, I've also tried toggling the Pre/Post-Fader options, same.

This is my normal routine but this time around it's just not working and I can't figure it out. This is Adobe CC 2024.x (e.g. not the latest/greatest CC 2025.x).

Thanks for any input!
Best,

Addendum...

Now here's an interesting twist... If I "bounce" the music track (which is a bake / pre-render of the original track + its effects), the result is 1:1 with what Audition was giving me in realtime beforehand.

So the issue is really at the export stage. And ironically, I do hear pretty convincing changes in the ducking as I toy with MB's knobs, which was not the case through my various tests at the export stage.

So for now, the workaround on my end is to bounce a track with a side-chained FF Pro MB plug-in instance within Adobe Audition CC 2024.x
